Not Working please help

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:08 pm

I launched the game, hit new, and before Juib could talk, i got a message saying some sound file wasnt working. I hit OK and another one popped up. I hit OK again and then Juib just stood there, motionless. I could move the mouse around, hitting ESC brought up the menu, but i couldnt play the game. I use a Vista computer and did the compatability stuff, but its not working. can someone please help?

And if you're using mods, post your Load Order.

The two messages that popped up where "Could not find MPV file Files/sound/VO/Misc/ChargenName1.MP5" and "Could not find MPV file Files/sound/vo/misc/chargenname1.wav"

This will occur if Morrowind was installed to the root of a drive (i.e. This often happens when attempting to install Morrowind to a different folder and/or drive that the default set in the installation. Morrowind, like most other programs cannot be installed to the root of a drive. When installing Morrowind, please be sure to install the program into a folder onto the hard drive such as D:\Games\Morrowind or F:\Program Files\Morrowind.

You have to be patient. First of all you are in the wrong forum, you should be in the Morrowind Hardware/Software forum, also Morroinw forum is not so busy anymore, so the few people who are here, may not even know how to fix it. Patience.

Also what system are you using? Windows 7, Vista XP? Did you try and uninstall, delete the folder and then reinstall?
