Xbox 360 issues

For the most part Morrowind has played fine on my 360 except for 3 strange glitches:

When attempting to load a save from the main menu it is extremely choppy and I have to press a many times to actually open the save menu and even more to load a save.

The save screenshot which helps you to remember where that save was comes out mangled and unrecognizable.

When I attempt to train my unarmored skill up from 17 to 18 the games crashes every time.

I was hoping there was something I could do to fix at least one of these things?

I might be wrong, but Morrowind was made for the original Xbox, and not the 360. I'm aware of the possibility to play Morrowind on the 360, but still, there's bound to be some bugs if you play it on a console it wasn't originaly intended for.

Or maybe there's something wrong with your hardrive, and that it's having a hard time storing the data. In which case you need a need a new hardrive, but don't take my word for it.

I play morrowind on original xbox and the game is old too. The disc looks to be in perfect conditions, but I have problems at times too. In certain locations It freezes, and when scrolling through my belongings it freezes sometime. I just make sure to save my game as often as possible, and to save a second copy of my game, because if it frezzes during the saving process, it damamges the file and makes it impossible to re-open. Fortunately the last autosave game is there from the last time you slept. But that can be frustrating if you just finished a hard quest. With increasing your Unarmored skills; is this purchasing the skill? maybe purchase up to 17 and then increase it naturally by fighting, and it shouldn't freeze.

The save games with the garbled pictures is normal. Nothing can be done about it. I found if I saved when I was underground like in a cave, I would have a nice pic, but when outside the picture was scrambled or garbled. As for you crashing when you training your skill, all I can think of is, don't. See if you level it up the normal way if it crashes or not.

Morrowind wasn't made for the 360 but the original Xbox. We are lucky trhat it can finally be played on the 360 now. Yeah it's glitchy but nothing can be done about it sadly. Did you try clearing your cache? I don't think it will work but only thing I can think of. I have been warned that could cause problems so becarefull if you do that and your 360 is not connected to the internet.

unless playing GOTY, morrowind on the consoles is unpatched. even GOTY lacks patches that came later.

on top of that, as your savegame grows (from undisposed corpses, open doors and the like) you run larger and larger chances of running into a "disk read error"

Game keeps track of pretty much everything you do...my savegame was so huge by the time I stopped playing MW on the original xbox it took several minutes to load it and it froze constantly.
