When we all finally get Skyrim after months Years of waiting :L
What will your first character be? Warrior? Mage? Theif?
What race will you choose?
Will you be good or evil?

I... Will become a mage with a shortsword in one hand and spells in the other. I will either be a Nord, Khajiit or an Imperial.
I don't know weither i'll be good or evil at first but in the end i reckon i'll have a couple saves, half good and the others evil.

Just wondering what everyone else was going to do :)

P.S. Todd talks about Character Creation.

Depends, I like the fact that you get to just jump right in, without all the "Lists" to bludgeon through just to play. I imagine myself just picking up and trying things that look interesting, rather than settling on anything before I've had a chance.

That said, I tend to favor Medium/Light Armored, Claymore-wielding silvertongues in most RPGs where you define yourself.

Imperial or Breton, depending on look-racial abilities/perks.

I think I'll start the game from the beginning, by making a character, on my computer, as soon as my steam copy unlocks, with some coffee, And a cold drink, and a snack. Any thing else is pure speculation, and here say.

Well, I will be a Nord Barbarian. I've been playing around with some backstories but can't really make one until I know exactly how the game starts.

Almost definitely a thief/assassin style character, use bows and short swords on close combat.

I was originally going to play as a bosmer however after seeing the first screenshot of a kahjiit I'm leaning towards that as they look bloody awesome.

I've never really played a proper archer character in a tes game mainly due to the crappy bow mechanics in oblivion, so I'm hoping that skyrims ranged combat is as awesome as it sounds.

I will be an orc and try to look as badass as my avatar. I will probably be a warrior and use a little bit of magic.

Pure mage - Breton...

Good to people generally, but not afraid to kick off big time if needed!

I am going to spend a lot of time on character creation. I want my character looking good this time! I think I will spend a lot of the first day I get it making my character actually. I always say that, but in the end, I always just do simple stuff. This time is different!

I will go to Applebee's next to my local Gamestop around 10:30 - 11:00, drink till about 11:50 then head over to pick up my game. Go home and create the same character that I've made in just about every game I've played since MW, a redheaded female Breton battlemage named Synok Seryanton, Sword and shield, then switch to duel weilding the same destruction magic in both hands (haven't picked which one yet, hoping poison returns) when the need arises, armorer/crafting, alchemy, and maybe enchanting if doing it yourself has alot more benifits over paying to get it done (I found it's a great way to spend your excess gold late game).

A nord hunter raised in a secluded village surrounded by the harsh wilderness, arrested on one of his rare foreys into civilisation for killing a lousy elf in a bar fight us how he'll end up in prison. He'll be good with axes, bows and his fists, a bit of restoration learned from his village elder and whatever else comes to mind during character creation. Since he'll be a bit of a wild one who's early years were mainly focused on surviving and having never been raised with a foolish notion of honour, his morality most likely won't be good on bad simply what serves him best(though I tend to lean towards good)

I will start out my game by having my character get on his knees slowly, respectfully. He will cross himself, eat the holy bread and drink the sacred wine.

Then, with selfless longing in his heart, will pray diligently that he can gain quick entry in to the Assassin's Guild(s).

Morag Tong,

Dark Brotherhood,

New Assassins that we know nothing about,

I don't care. I just want to get paid for contracts that require some NPC to die.

lmao

Another one of these threads...

Anywho, I'm gonna post anyway, since I'm unbearably bored.

I'm making a Nordic Ranger/Scout type character.

Ponytail with a with a light ,5 O'clock shadow style, beard.

I'll start by investing my points in One-Handed weapons, Marksmanship and Sneak.

I'll try my best to pick enemies off with my bow where I have enough range to do so, then move in with my sword

He'll be mostly good, maybe some bad actions performed when needed.

That's a tough question. I'm really confused about which race/style i'll pick. I tend to spend over 1 hour creating my character, and i'm never satisfied with it. My safest bet right now is that i'll make a Dunmer archer with a taste for blades..................or a nord with the classic sword'n'shield.......................an orc with axes'n'skulls...DAMN, i'm lost in thought again.

What will your first character be? Paladin (65% warrior with 30% magic, 5% stealth); Barbarian/Viking + Hunter (60% combat, 30% stealth, 10% magic);

What race will you choose? Nord

Will you be good or evil? Knight-in-shiny-armor so as good as it gets :P

2nd character will be a Dunmer Assassin though

Probably a Wood Elf Ranger type again (stealthy archer with strong melee tendencies). Of course, now you can duel wield, so I'll probably go with dual daggers or short swords (probably the latter), because two long swords look goofy. Plus maybe more humanish if can change faces well enough. (Breton/Bosmer?)
One note though, Khajiit look a lot cooler now, so I might actually play one of them first. Especially if I can make'em look more panther-ish (though not necessarily a panther).

Then...not sure. I'm going to remake my Dark Elf Assassin. If they live a long time, could be the same guy from Oblivion...;)

I'm going to wait and see what skills are and racial bonuses, but I think I'll be either a dark elf favoring stealth or an altmer favoring magic. Looking forward to trying out daggers and their hopeful evolution. Marksman and Alchemy are two other things I'm anxious to try out. I'm a bit concerned about going into dungeons too early, as the whole level freeze will take place. Almost seems like you're wasting a dungeon by going in too early. So I may travel a bit and explore, without actually going into a dungeon. Maybe focus on skills that can be evolved without too much dungeon delving.

Assassin/theif
Dunmer/Bosmer
Evil, no question

I always make my first character stealthy and evil. Love those 1 hit kill bow sneak attacks from the shadows.

Neutral-good female Breton. Primarily a stealth/agility/speed sort of person, but with some emphasis on blades and unarmed/unarmored combat. Also with a tiny bit of Alteration skill.

Not sure if I want it to be my character from Oblivion (vampire, gone to sleep for 200 years after falling down a hole and not having anything better to do), or start fresh with a brand new story.
