Cosmetic player character mods?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:34 am

Hi, I'm new to Oblivion modding, but I've been doing a lot of research the past few weeks. I've already set up and tested all the other mods I want.

Now I'm just looking for a really great and easy to install (preferably OMOD) cosmetic/beauty pack/mod (or set of packs/mods) for the PC (I don't really care about NPCs). I'd like new facial textures, new hair styles, new eyes, etc.

Below are some of the things that interest me, but I'm just not sure what to choose and/or what will work with each other etc.
--Beautiful People
--Modular Beautiful People 2ch++ (if there even is a simple way to install that; it's got me completely confused, but I think I'd really like it)
--Comprehensive Style Collection
--Improved Facial Textures
--Natural Faces
--Race Balancing Project (only if there is a way to install just the cosmetics lol)
--Other things that I'm forgetting

Top priority is being able to make pretty/nice faces that still look natural. Second is having a nice variety of hair-styles to choose from. Not really concerned about having a huge variety of eyes, just as long they look nice and I have more than 3 colors to choose from lol.

Last, I'm not that concerned about the body unless there is a good (non-nvde) female body replacer that is OOO compatible.

Thanks in advance. :foodndrink:

I'm still in the middle of "perfecting" cosmetics...it's quite challenging..
The easiest way out is just to tell you it is a matter of preference...

What I'm doing is a combination of:
Spoiler
beast beutifications
robert's male (a mixture of v3-v5)
hgec female (topless d, underwear bottom)
F-INevOblivion skinset
roberts male dremora (with matching female)
enaylas dremora face
Improved Facial Textures
Seamless male body replacer
Hand edited and picked normal maps
Self-customized skin and face textures. (makes Redguards, High-elves, Dark-elves, and Orcs match better, plus extra differentiation between Wood-elves, Bretons, Nords..etc)
And a whoooole bunch of model and mesh tweaks.
I just wish I was decent at doing my own textures..this would probably be a lot easier.

If I were you, I would begin with IFT, HGEC, and F-INevOblivion...then go from there. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll try my best to answer.
Also, if you are only interested in cosmetics..and not a whole lot of variety, beautiful people v2.7 should fix you up nicely.

Thanks a bunch . I'll go ahead and try out the IFT, HGEC, and F-INevOblivion combo with BP and see how I like it.

What you're doing sounds great but way too complicated for me lol.

Okies. If you ever feel like taking the every-so-slightly more complicated route, there are plenty of people on the boards willing to help out.
