Training in guilds

We all saw the fact that you can get trained by E-he-everyone on oblivon (so to speak) but what about you training others?

When you advance through the ranks some of the missions or 'extras' could become interesting by you training other people...

Warriors guild;

Recruit five people to join the warriors guild, and train them to become recruits.

You could do this by walking around asking them, for instance your speechcraft would be needed for this in a way unless you specifically find orcs or nords for warriors guild. Or you could persuade them with gold or doing something for them.

It would be interesting to train up your own people rather than spend all your time being trained by randomers around the world.

For the mages guild it could be teach them how to weave a fireball and you show them a demonstration and shoot it at a target.

Thieves you could teach them a thing or two about stealth and security. Showing them the ropes of hiding in the shadows and lead them by example.

even if the final test for each one was to take them on the mission with you and bring back either all of them alive or as many as possible leaving you to train new ones seeing as the one or two stragglers died. You could set up the equipment for them, offer them potions etc.

Speechcraft won't be in Skyrim.

Thank god.

And we'll learn about the factions at E3, can't wait :D Maybe they'll have something like that, who knows.

I like the idea of training other people. Nice idea.

It was mentioned in an article somewhere that npcs ask you for training if you're good in a skill. Not sure how accurate it was though...nor can I recall which article.

Sorry if I get anything wrong in skills I'm trying to stop myself from seeing how the systems work so much because I want to be like 'ooooooh look at thattttt' and stuff :P Slightly conradicts the fact i'm on the forum but there we go. If not speechcraft something else maybe or it could just be an option.

The warriors guild could focus more on training people by after showing them how to swing a blade you could fight them in battle, choose whether to fight 1vs1 or 1vs5 either way or any one in the middle. After two to three battles their status could upgrade and await the final test.

Why is speechcraft not in? They have removed the persuasion wheel, I think, but no speechcraft?

yeah, theres speechcraft and then personality attributes. :P So i figured they would have kept one of them... but nevermind. Regardless it can work without speechcraft!

Well it had better be, otherwise that really would be ( I hate this phrase ) 'dumbing down' and removing rpg elements.

OT, how much better is the OP's idea than random npc's in the street saying "There's a charge in the air.......".

Because speechcraft is worthless when you can bribe/use a charm spell.

Speechcraft is in though, I'm sure of it.

If it weren't I'd bite my pinky off.

I know, I'd like them to keep an element of speech even if it becomes more perky than skill. More fun. Although back to the training...
