Effect from mods that change the Light color.

Okay i (Like many others i guess) hate the original color from the vanilla Light spell, so i always use a mod that changes the color from the light spell. I usually keep Midas magic installed since it makes the light very similar(if not completely) the same as torch light. But i noticed quickly that it seems to effect the FPS in many areas...both in exteriors and interiors. It is not enough to say that it makes the game slow to a crawl but it is noticeable none the less.

Unless my character is a stealth type then i prefer to use light over night eye since it makes the game world look better then Night eye, but this...stutter so to speak is annoying at times. (And yeah i use the latest Oblivion Stutter Remover.) So my question is...does any one else notice this when using a mod that changes the light color, and if yes did you find a way to avoid that lag or stutter? Besides removing the mod that changes the light color i mean. :)

Try the "torch" version of this mod. See if it's any better.

If that doesn't work, try this mod. It applies the night eye affect after light calculation rather than before...or something. Might fix it.

Run it in default mode first to see if it fixes it, then you can edit options.

Hmm i will take a look at it since the mod you linked to did not change the effect, thanks again poketama. :)

EDIT: Although it does not seem to solve the problem i have with the light spell it does bring back the dark creepiness back to ruins. You can set the night eye effects for Interior...exterior and underwater separately. Makes going through Imperial forts and Ayleid ruins a lot more creepy in my opinion. (Especially when you have Cava Obscura installed. )
