TES History

In Morrowind & Oblivion, I have heard mages & warriors ect talking and they sometimes mention What is happening in the other 'provinces' Such as Oblivion, Morrowind, The Black Marsh and Skyrim.

What do you think they will be saying in Skyrim?

I think they should have some Monks or some Refugees from one of the Provinces saying something about Morrowind or the Oblivion gates opening up all over Cyrodill when their Grand father was just a child 200 Years ago.

What do you think?

What they gossip about the provinces in Oblivion will be history in TES:V, which takes place over 200 years AFTER Oblivion.

So any "news" overheard in Oblivion will be pretty dated in the next game. So some in-game books about those things might be nice.

I'm sure the OP wasn't calling Oblivion a province. Simply asked if the NPCs will discuss the goings on in other provinces like they did in Oblivion. Yes I think they will.

TES's form of countries i.e. Cyrodiil, Elswyr, Morrowind, Skyrim, Valenwood, etc.

I'd be surprised if they didn't have anything mentioning the Oblivion crisis since they mentioned it in the teaser.

I don't know wether I'm imagining things but since the latest patch for Oblivion couple of months ago, I noticed people talking about House redoran warring with Skyrim, so maybe The town/city closest to Morrowind may be influenced by them, I don't know :toughninja:

Hmm, maybe its just one of those weird random things that you may or may not hear. But yeah when I heard that for the first time I was like "now that is a war I would love to see!"

One of my favourite things to do in Elder Scrolls is quench my thirst for knowledge and read all the history books.

I'll enjoy reading about myself in whatever History books are on the battle againist Oblivion. Which i'm sure there will be some
