[REL] Oblivion WarCry New Dimension EV # 2

First I want to thank you for your great work .
Second I have some problems with a german character on some of the meshes file paths namely : Data\Textures\OWC New Dimension\Stirnb?nderneu\
Oblivion apparently thinks they 're missing.
any help would be appreciated.

Did you install all the parts from the Nexus?

In other news I have 72 / 182 signs translated to english so far, that means I'm 40% done, yay.

There will be a few signs that I won't be able to translate but the vast majority of them should be done when I upload this english patch.

Are you changing each sign in the TESCS to target back to vanilla nif files?

No because if Warcry New Dimension is updated all my work will go to waste, rather I'm replacing the german textures with english textures, I realized some of the sign textures don't have any wording so they don't need to be replaced but I have worked my way through 82/182 so far and have only had 4 missing english textures so far that I will later extract from the Bethesda BSA file hopefully.

I'm right around 45% complete due to my math so hopefully if I have a couple hours tomorrow I should finish the translation and upload it to Nexus. I expect the file might be over 100MB in size but it will be well worth the download for people who would rather read english signs and putting the texture names to match the german ones insures that they will remain in english in future updates as long as you always install my texture pack AFTER you install Warcry: New Dimension.

Yes I did , not all circlets are problematic only some and I made sure to install the mod twice more just to be sure .

Indeed. I have been a little too busy to finish the translated signs but will probably get around to it sometimes in a week or so, now I at least know a little of what R3NNW feels, lol.

I noticed today that many leather armor pieces (like the leather boots) and other armors that appear to be intended as light armor (like taurus leather) are considered heavy in game.

I looked with TES4Edit and it seems that this behaviour comes from OWC-ND esp directly, not from another mod or the bash patch:[img]http://imageshack.us/f/40/heavyleatherboots.png/[/img]


Do you get the same in your game and is it an intended behaviour?

I find it strange, especially because in the chest where you get some freebies from Jauffre at Weynon Priory, there is a complete set of iron armor (heavy, of course) and a complete set of taurus leather armor that is... also heavy...

I use the latest translated esp provided by R3NNW btw.

Taurus Leather is Heavy and Deer Leather is Light. The Blades wear only Heavy Armor Types...

Ok.

Yeah by digging a bit in TES4Edit and playing more I found many light armor types and the overhaul picture is consistent. It allows heavy armor guys to wear something else than metal plate after all :)

Thank you for the answer, and very good job on the mod and the english translation (although calling it a mod sounds like an insult, it's so much more) :goodjob:

I have a question? If i wanted to uninstall everything and then reinstall without using this mod but later add it back in can this be done? The reason i ask is that i want to do both the main quest and the shivering isles quests without this mod. As it is i have no idea when it would be able to do those with the mod installed. If i get those out of the way can and then try to add this mod would that mess up the game. Also would i miss out on to much of the mod if i went that route? I know i'll miss out on using the races but is that all?

Just wont to see if anyone has a opinion on this

Like adding any other overhaul you'd likely have to update NPC levels with Wrye Bash and a cell respawn.

Not sure how it will treat all the loot you accumulated though - you may find drastic changes in all your gear.

Good update and glad to know that Eddy is still working on 1.3, looks like R3NNW already fixed the signs so no need to worry about that anymore even though I haven't been playing much of Oblivion lately.

how is 1.3 coming. I have a new ati 5770 video card, just for this, getting ready to install this, up from a 5570.
