Masking magical attacks for stealth

It really annoyed me in Oblivion that if you attacked someone or something with a spell while sneaking it did no extra stealth damage. I understand that a big purple ball of fury ain't exactly the most subtle attack you could do, but it would be awesome if in Skyrim a mage could mask his or her spells to make them effectively invisible and inaudible, at the cost of power. There would be different levels of masking that could be casted before you cast the attack, or enchanted onto armour, and would work kind of like chameleon.

For example, a mage who is an expert of sneak casts 50pts of magic masking before casting a fireball at an enemy, which is in turn half as noticable, being half as visible and half as loud, but his attack is also a lot less poweful. But since he is an expert of stealth he does a fair bit of extra stealth damage, and so the spell enemy does a fair ammount of damage (enough to kill lower-level targets in one shot).

I know this sounds complex, and it'd be hard to balance the damage when one factor lowers damage output, and the other increases, but it could add a whole new dimention to destruction magic.

It's too late for this anyway, but maybe a magic stealth mod could do something like this :)

This will probably be implemented via perks.

Concidering your carting around a glowing blob of energy in your hand or hands whenever your ready with a spell I highly doubt stealth and magic come together...

They can come together as much as you want them to come together. You just have to be damn skilled at both.
