Interogation

Would it be cool if there is a mini game where you beat the crap out of someone for information?

In certain quests that would be fun kind of like the fighters guild mission in OB. If it were in the game i would like to see more animation though. Yeah you will like LA Noire though.

We are whoever we want to be.

On Topic: I had an Imperial Inquisitor in Morrowind and Oblivion that used custom interrogation spells.

Maybe.
I would like to draw a sword, point it directly at them having the tip barely lay on his chest, and threaten for information or one quick jab will bring them to their hell.

Is H2H still in?

Hines gave a sarcastic tweet alluding to H2H still being in. I think it was Hines, could have been another dev.

Sure? However, we are Dovakhiin, Dragonborn. I almost picture it being more of a 'stab to kidneys due to lack of information' than a 'beating to obtain information'. But that could just be me.

Oh yea that's right. Didn't he say something like "we are trying to make the game not fun" when he was asked if H2H is still in?

Something like, 'but no we wont give you a way to hit your enemy'. which was sarcasm...I hope. Probably wouldnt get Skyrim if it didnt have H2H, since a H2H character is always one of my builds. Usually a Goutfang Master.

Hand to hand.

Oh.. Yeah i knew there was going to be hand to hand in skyrim. Still I guess we could use more than H2H to torture someone.

I voted yes but I don't really care about the mini-game part. It would simply be nice if, when in conversation with certain NPCs, our character will actually threaten the individual physically not just say "tell me or else!". I always liked how in FarCry 2 the character would hold their machete up to the throat of certain NPCs to make them talk. Would be a nice thing to see in Skyrim, in both first and third person view modes! :D

Since we are Dragonborn, can we call a dragon to threaten them, making them Sh** their pants and give you info you need. Then fly off like a gangster from where the dragon came through the house by making the hole in the ceiling, flying off on it back and then set the house on fire after you get the information. :flamethrower:

Well you kind of did that in one quest for the fighters guild.

Yeah, it'd be pretty easy to implement.

"I don't think I should tell you that until we're better friends."

Indeed, the art of diplomacy at its finest...

But I suppose it could be appropriate for some character archetypes, as long as the game also includes more peaceful or manipulative ways for other types of characters to achieve the same results. It really bothered me how in Oblivion and Morrowind, there (more often than not) was only a single solution for each problem that came up, with no room for creativity and application of strategy (the Fighters Guild interrogation thing being a good example).

Dovakiin: Could you point me to the nearest blacksmith kind lady?
Lady : Find it yerself
Dovakiin : FUS ROH DAH

And thus the villagers would always give information from that day onwards
