Modified Inverntory not Showing Up in Game

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:25 pm

I modified an NPC. Several things, but my problem is with the inventory. I deleted the vanilla clothes and placed new ones in her inventroy. But it doesn't show up in game. It shows in the CS, but in game she wears the vanilla clothing. Any idea why?

Also, is there a way to scroll inventory items up or down in the list?

EDIT

I noticed that when I looked at it with TES4Edit, it didn't show any inventory items in the characters list. So maybe for some reason the CS isn't saving that data, or I'm doing something wrong.

EDIT2

Check that. It does show up in TES4Edit.

Try a clean save. Make a new character and go to the modified NPC. You should see the changes then.

I was afraid of that. The new clothes show up in her inventory if I sneak. She just isn't wearing them.

Open the console. Click on her. Type Kill and hit enter.
Loot her corpse and take away the stuff you don't want her to have.
Open the console again and enter Resurrect 1

Assuming there aren't any quests that change if she's dead that should be perfectly safe.

And if you're not using a mod with a companion share feature that's probably the simplest way to handle it.

[edit]actually come to think of it, just doing Resurrect 1 might make her change clothes...that's a pretty serious Reboot to an Actor's AI....no guarantee she's pick the stuff you want though.
