Will you die if horses aren't announced?

we have already seen them in the gameplay video next to the windmill and the guy chopping wood

Maybe the horse was next to get the axe after the tree

I don't think Bethesda can leave mounted horses out at this point.

1. They are already in, but Bethesda is getting the mount mechanics together. If they can't get the mechanics together in 7 months, then there are deeper problems then horses. I don't think the game designer well say that they are working on it only to take it out later. (once you let the cat out of the bag, its out)

2. Its 200 years after Oblivion and the Imperials had mounted horses. So are the Nords dumb and can't figure it out 200 years later? Nords will have mounted horses too.

Hilarious.... (that's not sarcastic I just don't want to use lol...)

Mammoths as a tank-like mount anyone?

Unless they have combat tied with them this time, then I don't really care either way.

All horses were to me in Oblivion were just a more cumbersome pair of legs. I barely used them. That is until I got Deadly Reflex.

I agree. Riding a horse just made things difficult sometimes. Going from A to B quickly, sure it helped, until you got hit by something on the way and wanted to fight it.

If there's combat involved, I would consider using one more often. When it comes down to it though, it may just make things more difficult. Shooting a bow from a horse would be cool though.
