Lizards are serpents. It basically means reptiles, for the most part.

I think they are talking about http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/115/1158651/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-20110330052317887.jpg

Basically they mistook Ice Wraiths and Serpents as different creatures, I think.

There is a link in this thread. The page that loads says the following:

New creatures include serpents, Ice Wraiths and Mammoths.

Yeah I have a feeling at E3 we will get a good look of creatures that we want to see and creatures we weren't expecting. So we may see serpents at E3, I'm hoping for 50 minutes of gameplay like when bethesda released fallout 3 and they released 5 gameplay videos.

Ha, unfortunately no.
Bethesda's booth is Invitation only, so i doubt we'll get any info ON E3,
but as dragon and i have stated many a time, Todd said he's hoping to release more info Around E3.

His point was that the site may be confused. I pointed out some inconsistencies with their info above as well.

Anyone can toss up a site and say "rainbow unicorns are confirmed!", but that doesn't make it so. The site doesn't provide any source for their confirmation of serpents, and some of their other info is blatantly wrong or misstated, so the smartest position is to remain skeptical.

There are two reasons I want the serpents to be HUGE. 1) Fighting off big snakes would feel epic and dangerous. 2) I don't want to back up in circles while shooting at the ground for 15 seconds until I finally hit the worm-sized snake slithering ferociously at me at high speeds. That would look ridiculous.

Oh, great, another thing the phobia people will want a patch for.

On another note. Are you sure snakes would fit? They don't like cold environments.

Exactly.
We've never heard about this anywhere else, they are wrong - or misstated on a lot of other parts, and there are already serpents in the game (which are called Ice Wraiths).

Chances are that these serpents are not in the game.

Will we be able to summon serpents?

I want to summon a big ass serpent and watch him battle a dragon. Then I will upload the FRAPS video to Animal Planet Face-Off

So something like the snake in this concept picture would be awesome.

Woah, I didn't know you posted here.

The link doesn't work for some reason...http://gamerant.com/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-guide-robk-82166/

The link doesn't work, 'cause you have to insert it by clicking the "insert link"-icon on top of the editor first ... and then delete the default "my link" text (or exchange it with your own). ;)

Very cool. I'd love to find a serpent's layer in the depths of some cave in the wilderness.
