a perfect walkthrough

was wondering if anyone has seen or know of a perfect walkthrough? basically im looking to do every mission until i get the chip from benny that is going to be the last thing i do in the game.

im looking for a quest order of what i should do first and who i should recruit so i can get the companion missions complete without and problems. also doing quest where i wont kill anyone i dont have to to fail missions such as activating archemedies or whatever but not hurting ncr. i would help ncr and do all of there side missions infamy with the legion is no problem because once i get the chip im forgaven.

I'd say a "perfect" walkthrough is impossible, seeing as how completing some quests fail others, and the killing of certain characters is needed for some, when the character is needed for others.

I could be wrong though, and best of luck to you.

i know a website or two that could help. the fallout wikia has a very chance of being the best resource for you, but then again, gamefaqs probably has about 3 or 4 quest guides to help you out.

Hi mack,
That's pretty much what I did.
Hit The Strip at Level 30, had gotten all companions and did 95% of everything.
You don't need a walkthrough. If you head south, slowly reaching the bottom and turning across through Nipton as the game tries to steer you to go, everything's great.
By the time you reach Novac (and get your first room with storage) you'll be at least Level 10 or 12, maybe 15.
So that's just swinging through the bottom of the map...
I thought going to Novac meant meeting Benny, and I was in no hurry to do that.
So when I got to Novac an old veteran, I was surprised to realize the game was just beginning to unfold... :P
If you take your time you'll pretty much encounter everything, don't worry.
Regards

Mack - I'd like to do the same - fulfill most of the quests neatly and have a satisfactory conclusion but this game just doesnt allow it.

I'm near the end and honestly I just *want* it to end. This game is a huge ****ing mess. Quests that end badly or block off other quests.
It was possible to play it neat and tidy for the first half of the game but once I hit New Vegas I found it starts to unravel. I've ended up
making friends with ppl I hate and pissing off those I'd like to help.

I'd strongly suggest making regular separate game saves so that if you find you've taking a wrong direction storywise you can backtrack
and make different decisions.

my plan was to create the walkthrough myself basically by which quest to do and at what appropriate to do them by doing everyside quest then save my game 5 time before getting the chip and each save id take a new path.

iv beat the game itself maybe 3-4 times done every quest

Unfortunate fact is there are conflicting quests that aren't even part of the MQ and there are a LOT of MQ lines that lock up/fail others its a really huge line of circles
Examples:
Spoiler

1. Cass side quest vs Van Graff side quests. The only way to finish the side quests for the Van Graffs is to kill Cass. Cass also has two possible ways to finish her side quests. One is wiping out the Crimson Caravan and the Van Graffs or snitching on them to the government
2. If you install Hardin as Elder of the Brotherhood of Steel it is impossible for you to allie the BoS with the NCR.
3. Going with the Yes Man route puts it so that you protect the president of the NCR however this locks up the NCR questline because the NCR has a separate quest set line where you are supposed to protect the president
4. There is a free two slaves quest where you can't do it without turning nearby Legion hostile.
5. There is an extremely large amount of NCR side quests and Legion side quests that lead to you gaining a large amount of infamy from the other side.
6. The list goes on and on. So unfortunately the only way to really do ALL of the quests is to play entirely different characters.

like i said legion imfamy isnt a problem infact its best to help the ncr as much as possible before getting the chip because soon as you get the chip your forgaven, as for the van graffs obviously the best choice to complete this is to do there missions first up until you have to talk to jean, then finish the crimnson carvan quests then you can help cass kill them all. i know that some quest you will have to fial im just trying to figure out which ones conflict with one another. and no you dont need multiple characters 5 saves before you get the chip then after you ge the chip you can chose the rute you want to take
