Cheesy Dialogue in Skyrim

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2009 1:54 am

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the cheesy combat dialogue in Oblivion. It was hilarious and entertaining, but it was a bit cheesy. So, I'm wondering, will Skyrim be similar, or are they finally going to bump up the quality of the combat dialogue? I think it would definitely be advantageous considering Skyrim seems to be a more serious game.

Since cheesy dialogue would stick out even more in Skyrim (Home of the Nords, rough and gritty no mercy kill you in five seconds conan the barbarian land) than in Oblivion I sincerely hope there won't be any. I think it's safe to assume Bethesda is taking a cautious and quality over everything else approach this time. Where-as with Oblivion they just wanted to get the game out and didn't have enough space for more voices on the game disk.

Never had that much of a problem with the dialogue. But yeah " YOU FIGHT LIKE A PREGNANT COW!" and so on was a bit much. Just the combat dialogue was a little weird.

Cheesy dialog is fun. Hopefully this time they add some drunken Nord taunts. :P "Hey...you! I'm going to pummel you...hard!"

nothing wrong with cheesy dialog, especially when it's in taverns.
