It actually kind of annoyed me that I got people trying to kill me only because of my alignment in Fallout 3, not that I object to people trying to hunt me down in games, but the way it was handled, it seemed more like they just wanted to kill me because of my alignment, I mean, I could understand it for getting attacked for being evil because to get evil karma, I'd obviously had to have done some bad things, and as a result, I can see some people wanting to kill me for that, but there isn't really any reason why someone should want me dead just for trying to be a good person, I mean, I could understand if, in earning my good karma, I ended up offending some people and they're out for revenge, but since it was based purely on your karma, not your actual actions, it kind of just feels like someone just has an irrational hatred of people who help others and wants anyone who does so dead. If people start hunting me, I want it to be for something I actually did that someone might object to, and maybe Radiant Story could be used for that. Still, I think the Dark Brotherhood would be a joinable faction, but that doesn't necessarily mean we cant become their enemies, provided there are conflicting factions in Skyrim, and we can neither confirm or deny that at this point.
Well, they did try to kill you in Morrowind.
If you had the Tribunal expansion, yes, but in that case, there was a particular story reason for it, they didn't just do it because they didn't like your face. I must also say that the way this was implemented gave the impression that they were not very good assassins, considering that every time they attacked, you'd be given a message saying "You are awakened by a loud noise." Does the Mournhold branch of the Dark Brotherhood just have some kind of code of honor that requires them to loudly announce their presence to targets before trying to kill them our something? That kind of seems to defeat the purpose of hiring an assassin.
well hopefully a mod can do that. remember in oblivion, there was this mod that when your fame is way higher than your infamy, it causes you to be attacked by morag tong assassins after you have slept. don't remember which one it is but modders can do something like that when the game is out. hopefully, they'll script it better than in oblivion. i had my character slept in the castle in the sky mod. makes no sense that the morag tong could get in when i have the only key and i used the console command to lock the doors?
Well, it probably shouldn't be a surprise that the scripting wouldn't take into account things from another mod that aren't supposed to happen in the original game to begin with.
