Spell light removers, MagicEffect NULL Nif and Wrye Bash

Okay, it seriously irks me that I have Duke Patrick's mod eating up a slot at the end of my load order, when the only difference between it and the SM_NoSpellLights plugin I have are a texture file and they load on opposite sides of the bashed patch. The SM plugin is merged into the bashed patch, but DP's mod has to sit at the end. Why? I did notice that the bashed patch removed the "MagicEffects\NULL.NIF." Why? If it did not do that, I would not need DP's plugin. Is there something special about that NIF file? Could Bash include a "no spell lights" option? Last question, what is that NULL NIF? Does it matter that Bash removes it?

Edit: Okay, I mixed up the script effect silencer and no spell lights modules. Never mind this.
