rage -_-

I know this is probably not the right outlet for this but I just have to rage somewhere or I'm going to blow.
I love Fallout. I really, really do. I'm an international student staying with a friend in germany at the moment while studying. I speak broken german at best. So I searched everywhere for a good Fallout New Vegas version (import since I can't play german of course). I found it on Steam, description, checkout, every little thing in english. I start the game and... it's in german, and so heavily censored that I might as well play Hello Kitty Adventures. So now I spent 50€ (1/4th of my monthly income as a student) for a game I'll never be able to play and Steam just points cockily to their no-refunds policy.
I know all this is not Bethesdas fault.. or maybe it is for not making the right deals with the german market, I don't know.

thanks for listening, a very, VERY angry customer..

But at this point the only thing I am considering is pirating the game as that would finally give me the option to play the game as it was intended to play in a language I can actually understand...

"No refund" policies need to GTFO. So irritating.

They won't even do an exchange? That's all it would be...

The whole german censoring thing is a problem with (well obviously germany) Steam. They give you the localized version even if you bought it in a different country. Lots of people have raged about buying a game in the U.S. (where they live) then going overseas and having to play the censored version.

No refunds, no exchange, I'm stuck with a german censored version which meant that I threw it in the proverbial trash can already... I don't know what I will do now, probably wait a year or two till I'm comfortable enough to buy another copy that's under 15€ -_- I can't shake this anger though

the issue here is the worldwide state of games and censoring(especially in germany) and stupid steam, the company that like, ruins everything good about getting a game on the pc. go find a petition website, and petition for games censoring, then go find a boycott site, and boycot steam. its not beths fault, just politics and the flow of money (germany censoring and steam respectivly)

Sorry for your troubles with the game, however, your issue seems to be unrelated to FO:NV specifically, and we don't allow rant threads on this forum.
