Yeah... No. This isn't "Animorphs", if anyone remembers that [censored] show from the late 90's. Isn't that whole "dragons transforming into people" thing from D&D anyway? Not the most original idea...

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragons

"It has been suggested that they may be able to shapeshift in order to disguise themselves. It is rumored that Tosh Raka, leader of the Tiger people of Ka Po' Tun, has succeeded in transforming himself into a dragon, a rumor which is substantiated by Mysterious Akavir"

so once again here's the reasoning:

1- in elder scrolls lore dragons are rumored to be able to shapeshift

2- most dragon abilities stem from dragon shouts

3- as a dragonborn, you can learn dragon shouts

4- ???

5- profit

if there's anything that contradicts the lore in this logic please by all means, point it out.

There is nothing. Actually, shapeshifting is not something special in TES universe. You can shapeshift into a werevolf. Vampires are not the same, as there you do not shapeshift back and forth, but is transformed once (semi-irreversibly). The point is to find the right necessary conditions needed for shapeshifting, such as certain blood, or words (shouts), or blessings or curses of Gods, etc.

Bosmer shape-shift at will. They can become animals, or water.

If you've ever wanted to be an ice bucket, this may be your chance!

This tend to be my problem with people who throw lore knowledge left and right. Most of these info are flimsy at best...

they could make a dungeon filled with lv 50 or higher enemies and only accessible at the later stages of the main quest.

something like this should be hard to acquire, and it also should have its drawbacks as well like long cooldowns and the inability of blocking during flight (if you're using your wings to fly you wouldn't be able to block attacks).

I would also like the ability to turn into a dragon. Maybe a dragonling, aswell?

And I want to ride dragons. And perhaps make it possible as a dragonling and a dragon.

Wait... dragons riding eachother... why does this sound so dirty?

nevertheless, that very same flimsy info keeps the possibility open whithout going against the lore should it be true.

And yet Todd said you won't be able to play as a Dragon(He even laughed at it)
And if it is not possible in Skyrim, in which you play as, you know. The Dragonborn. It is not possible in the lore.
Deal with it. :disguise:
