hardcoe mode not HARD at all

Post » Thu Dec 24, 2009 8:28 pm

I've been playing hardcoe mode for like 6 hours now and i barley ever have to drink eat or sleep. The only thing that makes it hard is the limbs crippling and having to go see a doctor every 15 min. :fallout:

Your to early to judge wait until you fight something nasty and really feel that stimpacks aren't instant healing.

I'd say that ammo having weight is enough to be "hardcoe" I used to carry over 10,000 ammo in FO3.

Other than that I'm sure the other hardcoe features are balanced well. Eating sleeping and drinking should be a priority, but it ahouldn't be like the Sims were I have to take a crap every half hour

I ran into something confusing...someone help explain this. I stepped on a land mine and it crippled my right arm and leg. They were both red and flashing on my status screen. I decided to sleep 8 hours in a bed immediately after and when i woke, my limbs were not crippled anymore. They had a "sliver" oh health on each. I thought only doctors could cure crippled limbs?

I find that hardcoe mode isn't really that hardcoe.

Sure, ammo has weight now, but what about the huge number of other inventory items that have "0" weight? They should all have weights.

As for having to visit a doctor to heal limbs... well, they added Doctor's Bags, so that kind of ruins that, doesn't it?

I do like the other aspects of it - required sleep, eat and drink and non-instant Stimpak healing.

But I was expecting much more.

As for the special surprise the developers kept hyping if you finish the game with hardcoe mode on... I was reading that it's just an achievement, so that's lame. I don't really care about achievements, so it's not really much of a special surprise now, is it? I thought it would be an added in-game cutscene or something more than just an achievement acknowledging that you're hardcoe at the end - that would have been cool.

If this game had been made before achievements and trophies were invented, it really would have been something cool, a special surprise like an extra cutscene.
