There is a series of dialogue options you can get when talking to rex that involve
examining the paint on his side, his brain case......etc...

None of these seem to do anything at all. I select them and nothing happens.
Another glitch? Anyone know what's supposed to happen?

Hmm well pre transplant his the brain in the case seems to be in bad shape.... after it apears nice and healthy.. And looking at his side you see a Bull logo painted in red that seems to be a rather new.. I took this myself as meaning perhaps he came from someone a gambler perhaps over Bison steves way but not sure.

The red bull logo was actually painted on my Caesar.
As for the whole checking the brain case thing its rather useless besides showing that he either needs to get a new brain or that he is feeling healthy.

I was thinking he might ave been a Leigon dog to (explains why he hates hats and well rats) but I thought his backstory from The king was it was traded by a washed up gambler.. do Not see any of the leigon type fitting the bill as just going to vegas to gamble, and with there "tech" fear just seems a bit iffy, nor do I see a prospecter somehow getting the dog from them and not getting staked up in the process ... I just thought I would go with the next logical Bull. heh

Fallout Wiki says Rex is Latin for King. Someway or another, he came from the legion.

But back to my original question.....those dialogue choices themselves don't seem to do anything.

If you see the dialog as in what we were talking about i do not think it is a bug just flavor text... though if you do not see that it is ceratainly a bug.



err also Rex does happen to be about 2 centurys old heh unless his name is new well he was named long before ceaser was around the second time a least heh.
