I would really appreciate some help here. i've tried finding a solution via google and not much help so far. I have windows 7 - 64 bit. Just got the pc in fact. top of the line so it should handle oblivion just fine.

windows 7 - 64 bit
8 gigs ram
Intel Core i7 860 2.8 ghz processor
ATI Radeon HD 4770 video card.

Oblivion starts up fine, but i noticed right away that when i hit the keyboard to skip the opening scenes, nothing happens. This is the same keyboard i've had for 4 years. i have played oblivion fine for the last year on my old pc.

i can get to the start where i name my character, but nothing. no keyboard response at all.

Mouse seems to be working just fine.

The keyboard is not wireless. the mouse is.

let me know if more information is needed.
