Please Help me, I just can't get into the game.. When I start up the game, a menu pops up, and I clicked play.. well I did manage to get into the "BETHESDA" Screen, but after that.. It suddenly stops, and return me to desktop.. Well, It's not "The program has stopped working", and it's not "The setup blah2x".. It's just directly send me to desktop, and won't let me play.. please help me on correcting this Weird things.. Well, I'm using win7.. here is my "DxDiag", Well.. Sorry. You tried to ignore the System Requirements. You do not have an AMD or nVIDIA graphics card, only some CRAP from Intel. If it's a laptop, you are totally out of luck for having purchased a disposable, non-upgradeable convenience appliance.

Minimum System Requirements:

* Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows XP/64-bit
* 512MB System RAM
* 2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor (XP 2200)
* 128MB Direct3D compatible video card and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
( ATI Radeon X800 GTO, NVIDIA Geforce 6800 GT )
* 8x DVD-ROM drive
* 4.6 GB free hard disk space
* DirectX 9.0c (included)
* DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
* Keyboard, Mouse

Try to delete your Oblivion.ini file, and go on the Oblivion LAUNCHER, and set new settings.
I'm sure that will work, good luck!

Its a hardware problem, your chipset is too weak to play the game. Try getting the latest drivers and running Oldblivion, and you may get it to run at low settings. It will look and play terrible though. Your PC is just not meant for games.

Remember to stay away from Intel video chipsets when buying. How much are you willing to spend, and are you willing to build it yourself or buying it prebuilt?

This form of CTD before start also happens when an ESM which is Needed to play the game has been ticked off.

I agree that it is likely a hardware problem, but anolyzing the other aspects won't hurt.
