K since there isn't any guides for hardcoe there should might as well be made. S P E C I A L
To the right of the text is my special setup. I felt Like I should do it a bit fancy. :) | | | | | | |
BTW THIS IS MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH, THOUGHTS WILL BE GRANTED.
When you start your special decides what happens to you in the end with legate. Mine were 7 7 7 1 7 7 4
For Traits I chose the 20% acc, but 20% less fire rate. Then I chose wild wasteland.
Now since we got special done, lets do skills. My tag's are Guns, Repair, and Survival.

Guns are highly recrommended, becuase YOU NEED A RIFLE IN THE WASTELAND. Survival IDK, it just seems that we need it.
Repair for me is a necessity because I'm not going to pay someone to not repair my all the way to 100%

Yea, so first head to the gas station and trigger the side quest for goodsprings. I sided with the powder gangers, after I discovered colonies to the south and found my way to the prison, I found all kinds of useful stuff in the towers and inside, after I talked to the leader of the prison I sprang to the south and looked for the prey I was supposed to kill and I killed them. I went back got my [censored] then went to primm. I found the house filled with PG's and destroy'd every last one of them. I walked out and went into V&V casino and talked around and resupplyed and slept. I went across the street and found ed-e and HE HAS BEEN WITH ME EVER SINCE, even though I have had to reload saves MANY times. (over 50) dang. I got to the south ignored the NCR, because I already knew from the start, I was going to destroy them. I eventually befounded a ranger saying I 3 days to get on good terms with the NCR. so I said okay, that was weird but what ever. I got to nipton and found the Legion, I was so in awe of who they were, and I wanted to know more. I eventually found camp golf and then I eventually found the strip. and confronted benny. I went to SOMETHING38 and found mr house. I went to the fort and ungraded the army. and now Im trying to level up and just kill time. anyone wanna help?

BTW^^^^^^ LONG STORY SHORT ITS MY STORY IN THE WASTE LAND.

PS I got the virus out of BoS HV. On good terms with YesMan and he is upgraded into NV.
LVL 15 SNIPER/ MOST SKILLS ARE AT 30+ NO EW SPEECH BARTER NOR anything else.
I think I am going to have a hard time in Making myself the leader and taking out YesMan in the end.

Help is thanked.

The trick with hardcoe? Remember to eat, drink and sleep. That's it really.

Ammo weight will be abit of a curve-ball until you figure out carrying 1000+ rounds for any weapon was never necessary in the first place.

I agree with the above posters re hardcoe not being that hard. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they included the mode, I prefer to play in it and started and finished my first game in that mode, but it's just a matter of having a home base (as many do, I prefer Novac, but Goodsprings will do for a start), carrying a bunch of water, drinking when there's a sink or fountain (I refuse to have my character drink from a toilet!), and occasionally seeing a doctor for rads and/or crippled limb healing (my character carries a few doctor bags and hydra for emergencies).

Far more water/doctor bags/hydra/ammo are collected than used. After major missions, return to base to rest, heal, sell off stuff and repeat. My current hardcoe/very hard game, most healing is done when finding a water supply on a mission that's not too radiated, and drinking up repeatedly, rather than using a stimpak - after the mission, see a doctor for a cure. My character generally carries for emergency use a couple of doctor bags, 8-10 water (dirty or purified doesn't matter), some food, and just in case some stimulants (nuka cola, tobacco, whatever, in case needed in lieu of sleep). About 500 ammo (improved, hand loader perk) for the 10mm SMG and silenced pistol, 200 .308 and 5.56 rounds for the sniper/hunting/varmint(ratslayer) rifles, and have never run out of ammo, just replenish when needed after missions. With companions it would be no problem carrying even 1000+ rounds for automatic weapons and still have lots of capacity, but why bother?

If instead of a sniper character that uses e.g. SMGs (or at later stages miniguns or whatever) when necessary for fights where you need to kill many opponents as rapidly as possible to survive, you're playing a non-stealth game, yes it will be harder especially healing slowly and you'll have to carry more ammo, but with companions that's not a problem.
