An Isolated, fortified, fortress on the side of a mountain. My base of operations.

Hmm different homes for different characters but I chose a cottage in secluded forest.

I want a cozy cabin or cottage in the woods. Maybe within sight of a town or village?

Also Blackrock, you sure can paint a picture with words. I could practically see all the places you described.

The last one will play well into my first character. Hes trying to lay low for awhile, with his friend giving him board and food as long as he helps around the place.

Also you forgot one, a decomissioned "privateer" ship. Who doesn't love a house boat?

Simple village with my own tribe/clan would do the trick.

# In the middle of the most populated city.

It's cold and dangerous outside!

I'd prefer a simple shack like the one in the Waterfront district, it was short, sweet, and to the point. Walk in and the bed is right there, walk in and the chest to store crap is right there, never liked having to go through a bunch of doors and stairs just to get to the bed.

I really hope we have portable bedrolls and campfires; I love playing wandering hunter/ranger types and Skyrim seems like the perfect place to do this.

A house in a common town. Local merchants are nearby, but not too crowded. The wilds are just outside the borders. You, the citizens, and the town watch are on first-name terms.

It was a hard, three way tie between the cozy, out-of-the-way house, the bedroll and tent, and the mt top fort. I went with the fort, thanks to the battlehorn castle in oblivion :hubbahubba: . I would have gone for the tent thing if you could make a camp fire to go with it, but I dont see them doing any thing like that.

What I realy hope for though is a choice, so that I can live in different places depending on my type of character
