Map size and borders

This may have been discussed already but I'm looking for opinions. Is anyone else really disappointed in the "magic wall" that cuts off almost half of the wastelands visible landscape on the map? I don't understand the reason for this. Especially the land west of Jacobstown. Thats a TON of landscape that is completely incapable of being explored. My favorite past time in the Fallout series is to aimlessly wander and discover new things. We've been severely limited for some reason and Im pretty upset about it =(

Sadly it's likely for an Expansion later. Classy move Obsidian, classy move. Either way at least it can be filled with content through mods.

Unfortunately Im screwed out of both of those options. Due to having purchased the ps3 version, no modding (obviously), and restricted to waiting for the aholes at Microsoft to fulfill their exclusive rights to New Vegas DLC.

Yes I'm so sick of the Xpaper Weight360 getting "exclusive" DLC. Just make it multi platform DLC from the start, it's going to be eventually anyway. How long will we have to wait? A year for the DLC like in Fallout 3 on the PS3.

the Collectors edition strategy guide had a very nice (and large) map that shows the true borders.

imo there is plenty land area to explore and more individual areas to find than in F03. there is plenty to do so i don't mind looking the other way at some invisible walls
