What console are you getting Skyrim for?

Post » Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:44 pm

Not everyone agrees with that. Some people have small hands and prefer using a smaller controller. I for one don't like the bulkyness of the 360 controller. People with bigger hands tend to like 360 controller better. I for one have a difficult time adjusting to new controller design since I went from NES to SNES to PS which are all very similar in a way so I have gotten used to the design and I prefer it over all others. Another great controller is the Wii Classic controller pro, which I also like better than 360's controller.

Xbox has the best controllers... The only person with hands too small to use the 360's controller is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu_bE7g2wqM

Are you that guy?

I'm actually surprised that this thread hasn't descended into a console war.
But its getting close. I swear some comments are Flame baiting, and you guys need to stop.

PC all the way for me. I spent over $1000 bucks on mine, and I'm still paying off my credit card. So to get my 1000 bucks of fun out my pc it'll have to do.

Other than that I've always been a Mod type of guy. I believe mods extend the life of a game.

OP: I'm getting it for the PC (for modding), and for my 360 and PS3 so that I can continue playing even when the PC is clogged up.

To everyone else: Stop the wars of console vs. PC/ console vs. console. These game SIMPLY run native on 720. Upping the pic quality does not usually increase the experience, when the game was not designed from the ground up on said resolution. Huge example, I don't have a workin PS1 anymore, so I use an emulator on my PC. My Radeon HD 4400 (not the best, not bad) does not make Final Fantasy Tactics look amazing. It looks like trash compared to being played on an SD set. So please everyone, kindly get your heads out of the ground, and get over your preferences. Everyone has an opinion, no one is right. We all love TES, we all share that in common, why taint that with flame wars on every single subject that comes up on this forum...

I am getting Skyrim first on the 360, because I am first and foremost a 360 user, it just feels more natural to me than a keyboard. After I get bored of Skyrim, which will take a while, I'll buy it on the PC and mod it to my liking.

This.

I just bought Oblivion about 8 months ago, because the game finally got kind of boring. So I downloaded a few mods and Bam, basically a whole new game.
Doing it this way extends the enjoyment of the game.

If FFT could actually render itself in higher resolution, it would look better. Skyrim on PC will not be limited in resolution, that's a console thing.

Well, originally I was leaning towards 360, and then I decided I really would like to play it on PC (get a gaming laptop for college), but the search for something affordable and reliable is getting so frustrating that I might have to go back to 360 unfortunately . . .

Yeah, never buy a gaming laptop. Get a normal laptop for college and a gaming desktop for yourself. I made the mistake of getting a gaming laptop and it will leave you disappointed unless you are rich and have thousands of dollars to throw around...

PC all the way.
I like my 360, don't get me wrong, but I would never, ever ever, buy a game for 360 that I could play on PC. Especially one with modding potential.

Yeah. As there is now a topic covering all three of the platforms we can continue there.
