Low on Caps?

Post » Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:36 pm

If you dont understand or care too much for "Caravan" and your low on caps this could help some. Theres a location called "Southern Neveda Wind Farm", which is located just northeast of Novac and its crawling with Cazadors whos poisonous glands are worth 85c a piece! If you have Boone with you then theyll be easy as hell to kill being that Boone can kill each one with 1 hit. ED-E is also effective against them. Hope that helps some cuz it helped me!

Or just keep exploring and take lockpicking.

I just found 8k caps hidden away in a cave :D. Behind a very hard lock and then an average lock, but still.

Cool find.

Van Graff compound gives you lots of caps, if you have a high repair skill. And if you don't have a high repair skill, then why the [censored] don't you?

or you could pick up every bit of pre war money you find.

or cartons of smokes

gecko eggs, dog hides. other stuff not apart of recipies.

your biggest money maker however will be ammo types you dont use. if you use guns, energy is worth a bit but hard to come by. if you play energy, bullets are cheap but plentiful.

if you are unarmed or melee you are one rich character.

Roulette! Max bet! Oh wait... That's how to get even lower on caps...
1. Well, go to black mountain
2. Kill stuff,
3. Take the weapons
4. Repair 'em together
5. Go to that old lady to the north of Novac and sell 'em.
6. Profit!

I've been avoiding packratting in FNV, but I'm low on caps. Lvl 7 and only now just starting to hoard up on good return items, like cartons of cigarrettes. Wish I had a Mojave Express box at my old digs in Megaton...Dogmeat could mail me some caps.
