I simply cannot find this place. The only other vendor I have to get any guns is a trader at post 188, and she is running low on useful stuff quickly. How in the hell do I find this place? detailed instructions?

Wich one are you talking about? Gun Runners or Mick and Ralph's? Gun Runners is south-west from the new vegas medical center and Mick and Ralph's is in the east part of freeside.

Mick and Ralph's is the answer to both of your questions (well you don't get the sixbot there, but it's where you start to find it). It's right beside the Freeside East entrance.

Do you mean van graffs, gun runners or mick and ralphs? Mick and ralphs is to the right when you go into the east gate. Van graffs is past the funky freeside sign, directly back and to the left. Gun runners is not in freeside. Its south west of new Vegas medical center, and south of the east gate. As you come out of the east gate follow the fence and it will be to your right.

sixbot is past the NCR food place. On the west side of freeside.. Follow the train tracks south under the freeway through a narrow concrete passage of rubble and its right ahead.
