Anyone know where I can get an abundance of mantis eggs? I'm doing the Bleed me dry quest fromt The Thorn and i've already cleared out vault 21 ages ago so the main supply is gone.

The road leading to Jacobstown spawns mantis here and there in the hills/close to the road, as you get closer to the actual town. I don't know how many you need but if that isn't enough you can always Wait for a few days to respawn.

I need a 12 of them, but yeah Jacobstown is notorious for those little buggers.

Did you harvest the egg sack when you were there before? If not you should still be able to do that.

If not there are a lot on Vault 11, the mountain Jacobstown is on, and around the lake just south of Red Rock Canyon.

Usually I guess you mostly get legs from them but I'm pretty sure they sometimes drop the eggs.

For Bleed Me Dry, just go for "pile of whatever" eggs.

Atleast I found going to a vault is better than blind grid.

The egg pile cannot be accessed until you have the quest from the Thorn, so it should still be there.

Go look again. For every part of that quest, a quest-specific egg pile appears. Rather than the standard egg pile that opens like a chest/locker/other container, the quest one gives a "Pick [creature] eggs" prompt when aimed at, and nice weightless "quest item" egg pile. (Which is very nice when you're sent after a dozen 7-pound eggs later in the quest.)
