I also support the "M'aiq broke a dragon" origin story.

How can you complain about an easter egg, who's lines probably took about 10 minutes to record? Jesus christ.

I think it's less a monetary/time issue and more an issue of M'aiq hurting somebody's feelings ;)

How is that possible? Are they the broken dragon?

M'aiq is a title. There have been many M'aiqs over the years; there will be many more.

some people in this thread have some major butt hurt over the all powerful M'aiq telling a few funny jokes about some loud mouthed complaints from the community. He's funny highlights the stupidity that sometimes occurs within the fan base why not keep him. M'aiq 4 LYF :run:

M'aiq is nto REALLY part of the lore, he's more like an easteregg. So there is no need to change his name or anything really. Just put him in.

Personally I never liked him, I feel it's just a cheap way to set aside actual legit points... However a TES game without him wouldn't feel right.

So that would make him the true creator of Mundas, God incarnate.

When Skyrim is out, I'm going to start a movement- one that will inevitably result in the construction of The Temple of The Liar.

Oblivion?
jk ;)
I'm pretty sure the 'M' before his name actually represents something. I can't remember what it meant, but I remember reading that, and was like "So thats what its M'aiq!". So changing from 'M'aiq to 'N'aiq, would mean less :(
I agree with M'aiq breaking a dragon. Or just him making some comment about some Khajiit's not aging. Which of course, is a lie... But c'mon! look at his name! M'aiq the What? yeah..

edit: btw, the only reason I said Oblivion is because of the whole "Fallout is Oblivion with guns!" thing. So remove guns, and you have Oblivion. Just clearifying to avoid anything

M'aiq was in Morrowind too

I think he's an immortal voicepiece for the Developers who dont like satisfying our needs

Yeah, but Morrowind and Oblivion weren't very far apart. What, 3-6 years? I forget.

It basically means virgin or one with little experience.

I think they should keep M'aiq, he's fun and the easter egg is well known. Even if they do give him the boot, I don't think they should give him just a cheap rip-off name like N'aqi (no offence, OP, but I don't like the name :P)

Not really. A TES game without Mai'q is like a Fallout game without the alien blaster.
