Races Bonuses

Post » Tue Mar 02, 2010 5:08 pm

The relation between choose a race and its basics stats was very close (at least for me). Without looking the visual aspect, what would be the most important characteristic to care?

I think the racial bonuses should be preserved. The way they are with Oblivion is fine too. As long as they fit into Elder Scrolls lore, I'm alright with new ones.

I tended to shy away from the races with particularly bad effects, like the High Elves for example with the fire.

Have always thought that racial traits like night eye for khajiit's was wierd and i think it should work like Argonians breath under water.. A racial trait shouldnt be something you turn on like a spell. Anyway thats just my oppinion.

I do hope there are great diversity in the racial benefits we get when att. are out of it..

I thought bethesda was trying to be less spreadsheet like with skyrim and were going for a more natural feel with the races, like a bosmer running faster than an imperial, or something like that.

I would have to say something passive, like i mentioned above, but i personally didn't use the once a day powers, they were always forgettable.

Please no once-a-day magic! I thought those were terrible. Even more so when the same action could be performed by a purchased spell.

I believe Morrowind and Oblivion both had passive skills and base stat variations between the races and I'd like to see both return. Unique racial perks and spells (not once-a-day spells) would be great as well.

Yeah, those once-a-day spells were completely useless after an hour in-game.

I think the HP/MP/Stam will differ slightly between races, but the biggest change will be skill bonuses. It would also be cool if there were race-specific perks, though!

I guess some kind of one-day magic and/or some minor perk that gives you a small bonus in something.

This. I always thought casting a spell for a Khajiit's Night-Eye was dumb. They should be able to do this naturally.

I hope Khajiit can sprint faster and jump higher, and Argonians swim faster.

Ever played New Vegas? There was a perk that lightened the screen when in dungeons or outside at night time. It didn't put any filters on, it just increased the level of ambient lighting. the same should be done for Khajiits.

But the same could have easily been done in Oblivion if they hadn't been so lazy.

As many as possible.

Choose another race and the whole game feels completely different would be the ideal.

Greater powers, passive abilities, HP, Magica, Stamina and natural skill bonuses.
