Hidden Valley Computer Terminal Trouble

Post » Wed Mar 03, 2010 8:10 am

I'm playing on PS3 and for the part of the Still In The Dark quest you must find a virus in three terminals in a minute and I did the option you need 70 science for to partition it or whatever. Now I have partitioned 2 and saved after I did so because when if you save you could just reload and try the ones you didn't get to in time. I have searched all the other computers several times now and still can't find the third. Is there a hidden terminal somewhere? I NEED HELP!

Did you try the one what's his face is standing at? And all the ones on the poles? Hopefully one got passed and it's not bugging out on you.

I think it jumps to random terminals and just keep trying until you get it. That's what I did when I did it at least.

Pretty sure you're stuck if you used the science option. I used the science speech check and the quest became stuck afterwards. On the next game I did it without using the science check in one try. Its bugged man, sorry.

Nope. If you don't use the science option you have to find all 3 in 1 minute, which is damn near impossible (I've managed 2)

With the science check you only need to keep on trying and eventually you'll be able to do it, it took me ages and I got extremely bored and frustrated, but eventually I did it. So just Perseverance!

I've done it without science but I guess I got lucky because all 3 terminals were next to each other.

I'm telling you it occasionally doesn't work anyways. I checked the wiki and several others have had this problem as well.

I think the problem is that you saved partway through. You've just got be fast, is all. Save before you start it, and go like the blazes. It's just fiddly....

There's no way to complete it if you did the science option, it's bugged. Same thing happened to me. My advice would be to either reload or to just not do it.

Not sure what the deal is here, but I did this quest twice now and both times I used the science check. I had to use the magazine to get my science high enough and then did the virus partition. The thing is, it only needed one computer partitioned. I didn't have to find any more.

I think you for sure need to save before you talk to him, because if you talk to him and use the science option and don't get the virus on the first try, the option isn't there anymore and when you talk to him again, it just asks about the virus and you have to do the full 3 partitions again. When I didn't get it, I just reloaded and tried again till I got it on the first try.

No that is literally not true, as I can personally attest to. it might just be a common bug that I've managed to avoid.

You must just be lucky, I've had this bug twice on the 360 then the next time didn't choose the science option and managed to complete it.

This is almost impossible without passing the science check. I spent an hour trying before I just left to level to put points into science (of course I was going to put the points there anyway)
