Can we have something other than rats?

I quite like the rats. Giant rats would be an improvement, though.

I love rats in RPG games, especially since many games mock it now as well as including them. DA is a perfect example, you fight a bunch of rats and your companions says "Its just like the grand adventure tales nan used to tell!". Its kind of like duals in western movies, its cliche, but if done right they are still fantastic

horkers!

I think they'll be in, considering horker meat is included in that concept art of the meat types.

Out of curiosity, what is it about horkers that people love so much? I never ended up going to Solstheim when I played Morrowind, so I never fought one myself. But what's the draw?

Weren't there two super weak enemies in oblivion? rats and mudcrabs? They were both practically the same except rats were in caves and mudcrabs were near bodies of water. Or did you mean rats were a cliche that needed to go away?

Evil Tortoises. Should be somewhat weak but have strong defenses.

I was going to mention that. I'd love to see a list of RPGs where rats were used as the introduction enemy. I know Baldur's Gate had you fighting rats too.

I think if you're worried about 5 seconds of gameplay in the start of a game you need to go outside more. Rats provide a gentle introduction to newbies and a chuckle for people who have played these games before.
