Gameworld is way too small for a mount.

For people saying that mounts are not for fallout though... If you ever played fallout 3 you would remember than in most of the raider and merc camps there were lots of motorbikes. Some Mad max car chase style quests would be cool, but for mounts to work I think you need a very, very large gameworld + no more fast travel.

Game engine can't support it.

It could support it. It just looks like hell.

The game engine could support it. Developers like Bethesda know exactly what they're doing with they're own GECK. It wouldn't be that hard to use the concept of a horse in oblivion, and then make in over into fallout, but change the model to a car. Maybe its harder than it sounds, but i had a team of coders for fallout 3 and we developed a motor cycle using that concept.

Of course it can support it, they're using a modified version of the Oblivion engine, and Oblivion had horses. I'm sure given how heavily they modified the engine for FO3 and FONV they could give us a General Atomics Nova '56.

Wasn't bad either!!! I use it to this day (Thank you btw). NV would not be ruined if it had a mount. It's really comes down to the player and what thier pref. is. I to like to explore, but sometimes I'm not exploring, I'm questing. When I'm questing getting from point a to b in the quickest fashion, is priority for me.

Give it awhile, you'll see mount mods soon enough. I think once FOSE and FOMM is released they start tricklin in. Maybe your cycle mod perhaps  ?

Considering that there are all kinds of batteries and energy cells that can be acquired, getting fuel for a vehicle wouldn't be too hard. However, vehicles would definitely be unusable in the DC area due to all of the debris and uneven terrain. The Mojave shouldn't be a problem, since it is a desert. However, I wager that the Gamebryo Engine would be clunky when it comes to mounts of any kind, so I think vehicles should be saved for Fallout 4 on a new engine. That would allow the developers to figure out how to make the environment, game balance, and role of the vehicles to work together from the ground up.

Mounts I would like to see: Pack Brahmin, Custom [read: made of junk] Bycicle, Highwayman [from F2], any broken [thus unusable] aircraft. Even if game engine doesn't support them as ridable, they could be used to triger Fast Travel [which could be impossible by default], store some items, and, in case of Highwayman, serve as a mobile base, at cost of some battries.

Walking must be hard for some in a game, all that time spent exploring, seeing a huge game world that the developers have made and all some want to do is rush around super fast and not see any of it.

I never used horses in Oblivion, I walked everywhere and once I found plenty of places, I used fast travel or just walked there. So much to see in games like Fallout and Oblivion, why rush?

LOL, I think it is hard for some to push the joy stick. I actually seen someone post here after FO3 came out. That there were to many doors to go through at TenPenny Tower to use the Apt. So they used another place to live instead.....ROFL
