Natural play or efficient leveling? For efficient leveling none of the premade classes is actually good. For natural play Breton Spellsword with Mage birthsign is very powerful.

Speechcraft




Mostly for powerleveling purposes, and jack-of-all trades

Breton spellsword-ish characters are very,very good-if you want a character that will become very powerful without much thought I'd recommend that.
