Right, so I wiped out Caesar's fort and freed Benny for some inexplicable reason (he must have a high speech skill) and when I finished the game there wasn't any mention of his fate. What gives!?!? I checked the Tops and other places in New Vegas, but there was no sight of the shifty little git. Does anyone know if he shows somewhere, or is this the end of him?

He disappears from the game if you free him. Better to kill him, I say.

More enjoyable to crucify him.

Even though he tried to kill me , I still felt bad after having him crusified.
He'll live in my current playthrough. The Legion won't.
