for example: do not jump over fences. follow horse/trail paths. sleep/rest accordingly. weather/travel. horses. bathe. etc.
we're talking the 360 and anything outside the uesp knowledge.

I'm not on the 360, but I've got a PS3 so the same logic applies. :) It would actually still apply to me if I were on a PC tho.

Encumberance is a big one with me. Not necessarily weight, but size. Back when I started playing Oblivion a year ago, I used to grab as many Welkynd stones in my inventory for instance as I could fit before becoming Too Encumbered. But if you look at the size of one of these svckers, there's no way you'd be able to fit more than one of these in your pack.

So I pretend (ha haa) I've only got enough space for one of these stones, four potions, and all the other small items (keys, gems, fruit etc). I have up to eight additional potions (usually health restoring potions) on my "belt". and the difference with the potions on my belt (from the ones in the pack) is that my belt potions are hotkeyed, so I can access them on-the-spot.

I usually take a few steps away from the enemy before consuming one of the hotkey/belt potions. If I need to grab something from my pack, I'll simulate this by running and ducking behind something first. :D Cheesy...

I'm a mage and tried that i only carry 4 health and 8 magic potions. A long sword on my belt and a dagger in my boots W/ a bow and arrows on my back. no armor so that leaves a lot of room in my "pack" for magical stones and gems

If you are carrying Heavy Armour, don't carry anthing else. Only one sword and one shield.

Dont carry more than one sword, and shield or bow. mabye 5 potions, 10 food types.

When you go swimming, take all clothes off, remove all inventory and place them on the ground, (that includes, weapons, clothes, armour, food, potion, everything) you don't go swimming with anything but your bathing suit. If you are hunting to go fishing grab a sword pretend it's your fishing pole.

When using a potion, only use one potion every 30 seconds, minimum 10 seconds if you say they are small bottles :)

Walk, don't run everywhere you go.

Sleep every 8 hours, unless you take a restore fatique potion every hour. (at full fatiuge so you don't get the benfit of restored fatigue, magicka dosn't count, unless you make a spell named Keep me Awake spell, at maximum ability at your level.

Eat every 3-4 hours, unless you take restore health potion every hour (at full health so you don't get the benifit of restored healt, and magicka dosn't count.)

If you want to pretend you are sleeping but don't want to rent a room because of price, camp outside. Just hit the wait button for say 9-10 hours. 8 hours for sleeping, and 1 hour for preparing your camp and eating, and 1 hour to take down your camp. This way you can say you are camping outside in the wilderness for rest.

After combat, and your wounds are say 25%, you rest for a full 24 hours doing nothing. Use the wait button for this. If more than 50% say 3 days, and if down to 1hp, say 2 weeks of resting of doing nothing but hitting the wait button. This is your body healing. Magika can only do so much, body needs to heal properly.

I don't a prob with characters running, assuming they're not carrying too much stuff. It's possible to run in a full suit of plate armor on Earth, although the runner would be pretty clumsy. Since I assume Tamriel is on a different planet, the rules for balance, gravity, and weight might also be different. On the other hand, if I'm over-encumbered (by my rules), there's no running allowed.

She does eat...at least 2 meals a day. Bethesda if you're reading this, please include the necessity to eat in the TES:5. :) Make it an option for us hardcoe players if you have to, but make it so!

My knight-warrior NEVER fast-travels. Ever. I might allow my wizard character to fast-travel late in her game (when she's attacking Oblivion gates) but I'll also include D&D dice rules with this, which means there's a chance of spell failure. :( Spell failure means she winds up in the wrong place, or could even get stuck in a wall somewhere and die...so I hope I'll never roll badly here.

The necessity to eat would be a pain, especially for people who don't want it.

That's why I suggested to make it an option, seti.

Only carry what you would realistically be able to carry, so no carrying 5 sets of armour or six swords. Have you bow, sword and knife... nothing else. Only a few potions. This actually makes the game 100 times more awesome, it feels more gritty when your only allowed a few health potions.

Dont swim in full suits of armour, infact dont swim at all. Use bridges, if there is no bridge, then walk around.

If your going up to the mountains, wear fur to keep warm.

If you were injured badly, then rest your character for a week or two. I don't mean just hitting the wait button; relax in your house or towns, wearing casual clothes.

Also, if an arrow hits one of your legs, you can't run; if it hits your weapon arm, you can't use weapons, same with the shield arm. If you want to take this to an extreme, make your character die if they get hit in the head - or at least not able to use spells.

I have many RP ideas for realism, but these are just a few. :)

Thread necromany is not your friend and gets thread closed. Doing it more than once will get a warn and a suspension. :)
