I can imagine being thrown into the air by a dragon and have it catch you in its mouth and snap your spine in half before swallowing you while >.<

I think they should, not only for finishing me (I don't intend on dying much) but also to add to the battles amongst themselves which are pretty common.

When I thought of opponents having finishing moves, this is what I thought. I'd love to see battles between forces and seeing finishing moves amongst the NPC's

If the player character have finishing moves so dose the opponents. The game cannot be one way has to be both.

I would guess they have finishing moves since they use the same animations as your character(more or less) and they should have since that would be cool to watch when NPCs go head-2-head.

I expect maybe NPCs doing it to each other (the animations for it already exist because the player can do them in third person, so it's plausible) but not NPCs doing it to the player, because of the extra work that is involved for that.

Only if you can counter their attacks and turn them into insane counterattacks.

You do understand that you are saying "finishing moves", for when you finish someone. No enemy gonna kill me, so what's the point.

course i would like my foes to have finishing moves getting a hatchet buried in your precious characters skull before he falls down dead sort of helps you try to be more careful

Why not ask Bethesda directly while the thread is still available?

I can't imagine the humanoid ones at least having them. That would be like saying, no critical kill effects for NPC's in Fallout. If their body parts can explode, so can yours/other NPC's they fight. I don't know if things like spiders and trolls and whatnot will have them, but I gurentee the humanic ones will.

Well finishing moves only happen when you're dealt the last of your hp if I read correctly, so I would assume they can, I doubt they have increased damage.

(according to what I've read, I haven't double checked any of this)

lol i could see it now as soon as your characters health reaches zero theres a chance that a giant spider will activate its finisher which will initiate a cutscene in which your character feebly takes a swing at the spider the spider leaps back then pounces on top of you pinning your character to the ground then plunges its fangs into your chest then the camera zooms in on your characters face as it slowly becomes withered gaunt and almost skeletal .
