dragons, one special kind in particular

Post » Fri Mar 19, 2010 3:23 pm

well....picture this for a trailer or something.
you run through a coastal forest...
you see a cliff up ahead...
the viewer believes Dovah-kiin is being chased....
then....
dovah-kiin jumps off the cliff, into the water below....
the camera pans over revealing the dovah-kiin was not hunted, but hunting, and hunting a special dragon, an enormous sea-serpent....
and then que a bunch of under water fighting and then yeah...
but image fighting one in the game and taking a swan dive of a cliff while shooting at it and stuff....

I'm pretty sure Bethesda will add more sea life this time around. I remember going into the ocean in Oblivion for the first time, feeling scared that something from deep below would come up and scare the living hell outta me. Boy was I wrong.

Well, we'll probably have dreughs again, probably the aquatic kind. So, there's that.

But aquatic dragons would be interesting, if done right. But I have a feeling they're focusing on the more traditional flying kind.

It would be nice for there to be underwater serpents.

It would complement the first trailer pretty well to have him actually jump off a cliff onto the back of a dragon. I wonder if it would be possible to jump on a dragon, or even slash at something when you're jumping. Bethesda, if you can't swing your sword in the jumping animation, FIX IT!

I want a Leviathan. Something that'll make me scared to be in the water.
The Leviathan-like sea serpent in Shadow of the Colossus is a good example. I was honestly hesitant to jump in the water with that thing.
That's what made it so awesome.

this is exactly what i mean...it'd be epic to be scared to go into the water at low levels, and you hear rumors and stuff about it....and man would it be epic
