it depends how much they like you. if they idolize or like you it will be cheaper to buy and you can sell for more. if you do a mission in the followers of the apacolypse place you can get exactly what the item is worth. there are probably others also

where are they located?

I'm not sure what merchant will give you the most caps, but at trading post 188 and the gun runners always have a nice amount of caps on them. (4-8k i believe)

Chet in Goodsprings (somehow) normally has 8000 caps. Sells bad stuff but is choice for plundering someone's bank account but does not affect the quality of wares.

i usually go to the old lady and gun runners..evn the guys in freeside...but just wondering because they all mostly give you half the value...wondering who out there will pay above 50%

Here's my trick to getting rich. kill a buncha people, hit the gun runners. After a while the Gun runners are meh, so i move my thoughts to the lady north of novac. By this time i'm bored so I [censored], pillage, and destroy the brotherhood of steel just because stone cold said so. I'll use the lady north of novac and gun runners mostly. But the Followers do get you 100% of cap value. If you walk in like i do with a full 300 pounds, and 2 mercs draggin ass from too much weight. The followers will result in Waiting almost 48 hours just to get all your money. Definately Gun Runners or Lady north of Novac.

like the Lucky 38 computer. Easily accessible. Otherwise I use Gun Runners.

If you want more caps from sells and cheaper prices up your barter skill since that is what governs prices.
