Breeds and tribes!

Post » Sun Mar 21, 2010 12:04 am

Would you guys and gals want all breeds of khajiit like the Suthay-raht, Dagi, the Tojay-raht ECT. and the argonian tribes like the Paatru, the Nagas the Sarpa, ECT. in Skyrim? To play as and to see NPCs be them as well?

I'd rather save them for games set in their respective homelands.

Its impractical. You'd have to limit the skills in which they could take.

I honestly just want to play as the Cathay-Raht, or the Paatru. Just the idea of being a large, intimidating khajiit sounds really cool.

I want them to add this to this game that way if they are not perfectly tweaked they can be for the game in their respective home land plus I would love some options for the khajiit designs considering in the lore there are about a dozen different subphages of the species each with unique aspects to them.

Not to mention how much more work for them would be (and it would be alot unless you want some lore to conflict as many breeds are suppose to not be known about also they have murdered many people and arnt neccasrilly trusted in the least) seeing as they would have to create 20 variations of several races unless you just want it to be like the beast races in Oblivion also some breeds are quadpeds not bipeds so that provides some armor issues and weapon also they are forcibly used as "mounts" so lets hope you arnt female.......moving on some breeds are isolated and still savage so seeing as them would have many lore issues

^This. I'm more interested in the tribes of Nords living in Skyrim.

I forgot to take the senche/ senche-raht of that list, What if they slimmed it down to the ones where it wouldn't cause any issues with lore, armor and weapons?

I just really really want to see some other breeds, in the ES games, they mention them alot in the books, yet in the actually game they are treated as if they don't even exist.

Haha, yeah. Argonians were. Till they kicked the sh*t out of the dunmer and stole their land.

I find that ironic considering the argonians control morrowind now and it would make more sense for the dunmer to be slaves... it seems the magicka draining bracers are on the other wrists now

I would actually be for it, but would you, or they? It would mean limiting skills unless you devised new game mechanics. Alfiq's wield weaponry through telekinesis? Senche-raht's access doors and hall ways through transmogrification?

I forgot to say that I was not talking about including breeds like that.

save it for the games in the future that will likely take place in either black marsh or elsweyr mainly because it would make more sense and there would be better technology so they can be done right.

Nah. 10 races is enough for me, thanks though.

I voted "don't care". I never have and never will play a beast race. Not out of some weird racism thing, it's just hard for me to stay interested without feeling some kind of connection to my character. My friends say i don't play them because I'm too boring to.
However, there are a lot of breeds of beast races that would be hard or impossible to make playable without making it an entirely separate game, and I'd rather the team spent their time on making the current races more customisable and user-friendly.
