Armamentarium + TIE + WAC

Post » Mon Mar 22, 2010 7:29 am

I use Armamentarium, WAC ,TIE and want to get weapon stats more corresponding each other. What difference between Armamentarium vanilla and for OOO ver ? Only weapons stats ? Should I use it instead vanilla ver. to get OMODS stats ?

Didn't you ask this in the WAC thread a while back?

OMODS stats? OMODs are what you use with OBMM ... I think you mean OMOBS which is the OOO version of MOBS (with watered down bow stats).

There is no easy answer at this point except to manually alter the stats.

TIE has the highest stats and so likely all the vanilla weapons are going to be overpowering the Arma and WAC weapons. You could use the MOBS variant of Arma to get them higher and closer to TIE or load full MOBS as well to slightly reduce TIE's effect on vanilla stats to bring in line with Arma.

This of course leaves WAC the odd mod out, but do keep in mind that with WAC you get the full effect of Real Swords (if you are a bosmer using a bosmer bow you get more of a bonus ...IIRC).

You can use Bash to export the weapon stats to an excel spread sheet (actually any mod) and then I think there is a way to then change the spread sheet and import the changes - would need to study up on how to do that. Or use TES4edit and make the changes in the esm/esp themselves. Or make a new esp with just the adjusted stats for WAC.

Another option is to not get so hung up on the stats and take a look at the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Complete_Damage_Formula Oblivion uses. Realize that the variations in weapon stats will not mean quite as much as attributes and skills as you level.

Or use a mod that adjusts the damage formula like Phitts Phighting Phixes (more global increases) or Kuertee Attribute and Skills Damage mod (more RPG). I use another mod from those but unfortunately it is no longer available.

As I noted before that in my TIE+WAC (and Arma, Jello, Wepon) game TIE is giving apparent weapon damage stats as very low (swords that do like 2 damage) - but this is not right so I highly recommend Display Stats by TheNiceOne to get the real stats and see the often hidden stats on most weapons. Display stats instead is giving higher damage rates and so on.

Myself though - I understand that for a scaled game (leveled) weapon stats that are congruent might be important, but I don't mind finding weapons that look fancy but are crap to use. And in an unscaled game I find this to be more the case.

1. I was thinking about OMOBS directly.
2. Now I use Arma, WAC, TIE, MOBS in this order and finding Arma. stuff underpowered. So I'm thinking about OMOBS stats for Arma. If Armamentarim files for OOO changing weapons, artifacts stats only I may use it, otherwise - not. So my question concerning of Arma. for OOO not WAC.
3. Now I'm playing character with big muscles, bigger sword and lite brain, so archery and magic balance are less important then hand weapon stats for me. Fearsome magicka + less resistance effectiveness by AV uncapper, "realistic sneak for NPC" for archers makes mags and archers dangerous but I would like other opponents more difficulty. Increasing damage not gives me my goal. There is no way to make it differently for PC and NPC and shorter battles means less fatigue influence.

Never used TIE but as I understand it OMOBS stats would be closer to it than vanilla. The problem is that the Armamentarium Complete plugins that gives weapons OMOBS stats require OOO.

Well there is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14206, but not sure if it works with Armamentarium Complete. My memory on it is bad - I always thought there was MOBS options for Arma without OOO.

All this is one of the big hitches of combining overhauls.

1. Bad news. I was going to change masterlists, but maybe this is not good idea.
2. I've just downloaded this file and will try load this after Arma. plugs deactivating and importing stats via WB.
3. Thank you
