I am getting so frustrated...

I am going with the NCR on this playthrough

Earlier, WAY before I got the quest "For the Republic part 2" I had met the Omertas and went to the Vault on the strip and talked with the guy who Cachino had wanted dead...Well I decided to help the guy ( cant think of his name, hangs out in the Vault on the strip) and I accepted his info that Cachino was cheating the Omertas...I showed his bosses it...and they killed him...the quest wanted me to help two other guys troika or something...and clandon I think...well I decided I would go do other things and never got back around to it...

Well now it would appear that doing that has %100000 screwed me over and its completely RIDICIULOUS...Colonel Moor sends me to investigate the Omertas...but the damn problem is that I have NO OPTIONS to SIMPLY FIND OUT what the Omertas are up to and tell Colonel Moore!!! I read on the wiki that this situation would force me to have to lie to Colonel Moore which I dont like to do...but it doesnt go into any further details on what the negatives are

Basically I cant do the DAMN Republic Part 2 quest...because it wont even give me the option to LIE to Colonel Moore until AFTER I help the Omertas which I DONT WANT TO DO in the first place!!!...and then it automatically changes my Wild Card Side Bets objective to tell Yes Man I approve of the Omertas plan to attack the strip...WHICH I DONT!

It is beyond me why they didnt edit this in the FREAKINg quest design so that I could just freaking tell Colonel Moore the truth and NOT help the Omertas...this is basically game breaking %100....I see absolutely no way to progress while supporting the NCR without letting the Omertas attack the strip later on...Has anyone else been in this situation or found any good way to stop this from happening?

I'd say redo it, instead of showing the bosses, get the ledger, show it to him, ask him to bribe you, then do whatever he says, and then go against Big sal and Nero.

Thats where the problem comes in heavily for me...I had originally done the quest that got Cachino killed about 30-40hours worth of play back...I just cant afford to go back...

Maybe kill all the Omertas and go back to the NCR and see if there's a dialog option to say the Omertas won't be a problem

Ka-Cheeno?!?

It doesn't look good for you. But, yeah, the only thing you can do I think without going back is killing the Omertas. They can't attack the strip if they're dead right?

Well its your fault, you didn't fully investigate what was going on at the Omertas. When you help out that guy rescue Jona she mentions Cachino said the bosses were up to something big. Do you have the option to be honest? I stopped the white gloves from being cannibals but that didn't interfere with the legion end game quests he just scolded me.

To say its my fault is idiotic and or you dont even understand the situation enough...Its my fault the quest branches dont have enough variety in this particular one?

How in the world could I possibly predict helping out a nice enough sounding random as all heck guy, by getting a psycopath off his back, by turning him into his superiors (who in no way are affiliated with the NCR) ultimately put me in a position where its impossible to NOT tell a lie to the NCR...OR have the strip dislike me..AND having to support some attack on the strip that I dont...the design overflow of these two quests are stupid and make no sense

They should obviously have the freaking option to just tell Colonel Moore the truth...and they dont allow you to do that if you have already got Cachino killed...I am always very carefull about things like this...but this one is just pure BS and there is no way in the world you can see it coming and its pure luck if you happen to want to support the NCR and NOT end up in this situation...My character already knows whats going on...but the stupid lack of choice acts as if you would never do anything BUT lie...jesus christ you dont even get the option to tell Colonel Moore the lie UNLESS you go forward with helping them

This is just...too much...

Can anyone confirm killing either Big Sal or Nero causes the other one of them to disssapear??

I tried to shoot up the whole casino..Killed Nero...but Big Sal was gone...reloaded...killed Big Sal first...NERO was gone...not in his suite..nowhere....

i think during certain hours, Nero appears in the little balcony where Big Sal appears (one during the day and one at night)

Yeah, the Omertas part can be confusing. I am fairly sure that if you can find Big Sal and Nero together you could complete the quest, the other option is to destroy the weapons cache using the explosives provided by the guy who got framed for murdering the prosttute(might require 100 lock picking to get to the cache).
