Tattoos, technology, and werewolves

Post » Fri Apr 02, 2010 10:58 pm

I would like to see tattoos definately. Especially since the dragons are involved and Nords did always have that face paint of you recall to morrowwind. However I don't want to be able to erase the tats I would like to make some mistakes ha. It's just in realistic.

As for technology I would like to see a bit nothing like guns and cars but maybe some minor explosives or binoculars. As long as the sport of the game isn't lost.

Werewolves definite must have Werewolves. It would make sense to in morrowwinds expansion the. Nords had to deal with them and it was awesome being one too but a werewolf vampire mix may be a bit excessive but interesting.

I'd like it but people here seem to have a perversion against even the most basic form of technology

It's been 200 years. If they haven't made any technological advancements what so ever, I'll be stumped. Even of the technology is mostly magic-based.

You got that backwards, a primitive spyglass and some basic explosives (like simple black powder) would be cool and really practical, but crossbows are just useless since normal bows are in. Crossbows should only appear if guns are going to appear.

I blame all the people that think that elves and magic are the only things that matter.

Isn't the suggestion that things are on a downhill slide since Oblivion? Problems in Morrowind, civil war in Skyrim, etc, etc, etc.

(Plus, there's the part where most fantasy worlds, in games and in novels, don't have the speed of tech advance that we've had IRL. The existance of magic, among other things, would influence what "needs" there are, and those needs are what typically drives invention.)

...realistically, games don't want to change their settings too much, otherwise they risk losing the playerbase who liked the previous games. And, if someone's interested in playing a game in a different tech-base? There are other games for that.

Idk, faster projectiles that do more damage and have completely different aerodynamics at the cost of being slower to load. It's just another option for ranged players beyond arrow type, like melee users have 3 options. I'm not quite sure what a spyglass would be used for, but I guess it would be pretty cool. I'd rather have explosive fire spells than black powder, though.

There's a reason I italicized any. I'm not saying Skyim needs to have electricity, steam power, or anything else. I'm just saying I expect there to be something a bit more advanced than generic-fantasy world #337 tech that Oblivion had (minus Dwemer tech). But, really? Doesn't matter that much to me.

I found that enchanted arrows (which were rather common in Oblivion and hopefully craftable in Skyrim) were more than enough to deal with tougher targets that needed a bigger boot for their ass kicking, I would use the spyglass to scout out what is ahead (if Skyrim has some open areas, knowing where the real nasty baddies are will help) and I can go along with that, but it can't require magic to detonate the item (using another item would do this), I'd suggest a bag of explosive powder or a stone that explodes with a fire damage rune slapped on it (to eliminate the need for smacking the item with a fire spell). Remember that this is technology, so it should be able to be used by anyone that can afford the item.

I want tattoos, but then again, I want good character customization, so there...

Why on earth would you need explosives, when I can easily cast a freaking fireball, as in PURE ENERGY(!), right on the palm of my hand. Makes no sense. And seeing as they added rune traps or whatever it is called that use magic, explosives would be more than unpractical and obsolete in Skyrim.

Binocs... Meh, nothing against it, but let's face it, that would only be cool in a maritime environment.

Maybe maces & axes are useless because we have swords...

Charles Babbage would have been an even bigger laughing stock in a world where all researchers can easily summon a demon that does good sums..
