Odd FPS problem.

Hi guys.
I'm having a good time with Oblivion atm, roleplaying etc. My FPS is usually high, average 60 minimum at least 30.
A problem has occurred, I don't know why but whenever I'm fighting relatively small creatures like Wolves, Rats, Goblins, Imps, Lions, etc, my FPS drops to around 15-25. I'm not sure how to fix it or why it's doing that but it'd be great for some help. Thanks :)

This normal for Oblivion, you need a sound card that can process the sound instead of it being off loaded to the cpu. If you are using Windows Vista/7(if you have Vista/7 and have sound card that supports hardware acceleration then try downloading OpenAL from creative.com) or don't have a sound card that supports hardware acceration you can try the quiet feet mod.

Right I have XP but I'll do the quiet feet thing and see if it helps.
Thanks
