Inducted as a Paladin....

So why am I still wearing a "disguise" when I put on BoS power armor? Not that it matters I have the T-51 made available to me by the quartermaster but I just think the deveplopers kind of skipped out on that last small detail when joining the BoS :P

Just the BOS knows you are a Paladin.

I think even if you are part of the faction (like, for me, NCR) it still counts as a disguise. not a big deal.

It's more of an honorary thing. Wearing the official Brotherhood armor tells the rest of the world that you're Brotherhood, though, which can get you shot in some neighborhoods. It's like wearing a red t-shirt that says "I'M WITH THE BLOODS" in Crip territory. Maybe you actually know the gang signs, or maybe you actually have Crip tattoos. Either way, you're only broadcasting belonging to one of those gangs.

Going to have disagree with you on one thing my man although I agree with the second part of your post! It is not honorary you ASK who ever you left to be elder that you want to JOIN. He says well its unusual but if you do THIS you can. When it is done he says that although he cannot do the ceremony because he is short on people and time you are are now formally a BoS Paladin and that he should teach to how to use Power Armor!

specifically, who attacks you for wearing power armor? I'd like to wear it around, but if I'll be attacked I'm not so sure.

So you want it to say you are now recognized as a paladin?

The NCR, also there is non BOS power armor.

Oh, I was just asking, I didn't mean anything by it.
But, I don't think it was a mistake just overlooked.

Disguise works both ways, toward your enemies as well as friends. As far as I know however, wearing friendly disguise does not hurt player in any way as long as those friends are concerned.

i wish there was a workbench where you could change the armours faction. like decorate NCR power armour with red stripes and ncr dog tags to show your legion.

Actually it can because your reputation is set to neutral while wearing the friendly faction armor. Some dialog options might not be available unless your well liked.

If I negotiate the peace with the NCR (which I plan on doing), can I wear it without them getting hostile?

I fast travelled to Primm, forgetting that I was wearing BOS T-51...

Won't do THAT again. :whistling:

By the way, I'm a tad surprised that I've attained Paladin rank - given that the Lone Wanderer only managed Knight after enduring so much more. No wonder they hate Owyn Lyons over here...stingy Eastcoasters...mumble...grumble...

I think so but, it was awhile ago when I did that.

I think that after the type of tasks you performed you did much more then any other Paladin in that bunker did in a long time its well deserved. and yes the fact that Lyons never gives you the rank of Paladin is BS lo...I guess single handedly annhilating an Enclave base isnt good enough...

You'd be wrong. It drops you down to neutral with them while the disguise, so you can lose benefits. And quests you can't do.

Pfft. McNamara knows that if I'd enlisted, I'd be half way to general by now with the NCR. Canny bastard knows that giving me the biggest title he can afford to give me is the only way to get out of me nuking their sorry behinds later in the game. (And it worked!)
