As far as I know, Saint Jiub drove the cliffracers out of Morrowind. I can't recall anything saying they're extinct, but I could be wrong about this.

Actually, the cliff racers made the Dragons in Morrowind extinct. So if they were in Skyrim, we'd have no need for this 'Dovahkiin' character

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

The populous cliffracers are what drove the dragons out of Vvardenfell.

Saint Jiub then drove the cliffracers out of Vvardenfell.

Clearly finding and retrieving the missing cliffracers are the key to any dragon-based game.

Honestly, I hated cliff racers. The reason they said that the Nerevarine drove them to "extinction" was because everybody hated them. So I hope they don't bring them back.
