Can you hook up a pc hdd to a 360? I thought I read that somewhere? Or is that not Microsoft approved?

The 4 gb 360 is $200. The 250 gb version is $300.

Eh... I'm not sure if that's a decent price or not. I know as a PC user I'd rot in hell before I'd pay $100 for a 250GB HDD. But I suppose if you're serious about gaming on a console, that's a worthwhile investment.

EDIT: That's mostly due to us being able to get a 1TB HDD for $60-$100.

L.A. Noire (360 version) will have 3 disks, and 12 squake kms...

And for those ones asking to be "considerate"....I'd ask them to be also "considerate" to PC/PS3 gamers, and not to demand to dumb down games just because you've chosen a console with crappy hardware.

Are you trying to tell me that $100 is too much for 246 gbs of space? Is hard drive space even that much cheaper than I thought?

Also, 250 gbs is perfect, even overkill, for consoles. They don't have to install every file for everything to hard drives as with PCs. I'll never even be able to fill up my 160 gb hard drive (PS3).

It is. I edited my post before, but yeah, you can get a 1TB HDD for $60-$100.

Right now on Newegg, you can buy 500 gb for less than $40.

I checked Amazon for some console HDD upgrades. PS3s apparently utilize the same, exact type of hard drives as PCs ("2.5" SATA", only, though), so I could get 320 extra gbs for my PS3 for a $46 on Amazon. 360s use some stick thing that costs more, I think. Can anyone tell me what the 360 uses?

This. Though, for us PC users, even if Skyrim does get dumbed down for the 360 people, at least we can mod our way to glory. The only people who truly and fully would suffer from this would be the PS3 players. :(

I think its kind of sad that BGS has to dumb their game down so much for consoles. But on the good side of things, thats where their money really flows from, and helps them stay in business to create new games. Its a good thing that they dont forget about us PC users, and actually puts a lot of effort into the creation kit.

My Oblivion/F:NV mods alone would fill up those Xbox 360 HDs.

Yes, this type of game cannot involve a disk swap. No doubt about it. One Disk.

The 360 uses a 2.5" HDD as well, but it's essentially in a special box so that you can only buy them from Microsoft. If you opened it up you'd find a normal. The format of it is very different though, and trying to put your own 2.5" HDD in there won't work.
