Did anyone get this DLC? And is it worth it?

No, and no :) I've heard about a tremendous number of bugs relating to this DLC, so I skipped it. Plus, it's best not to use horses at any rate IMO.

I have this DLC, but have not installed or used it.

Despite the fact that, objectively speaking, horses are more trouble than they are worth, my elf wouldn't dream of giving up her precious mare. She takes very good care of her horse and has safely had her for several hundred hours. http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/Buffy%20I/ScreenShot9.jpg

She would never armor up the horse though - it looks silly.

I love this DLC. it works really well for a combat or magic orientated character i find just based on the looks.

Never tried it, but I remember that it works fine provided you don't use it on Shadowmere (not that you need to anyway since she's essential).

The only reason I use it is because I like the way the Imperial horses look with armour. I have a mod that works with the DLC to add it to them. But I have no use for horses in the game, and so don't have a use for the armour either.

If you got Shadowmere, you would never armor it. I would never pay for this mod.

All the armor does is add hitpoints, it doesn't even give them damage resistance.

Still, I mostly get the Steel for the looks. Elven, while pretty, just doesn't look in place with most of my characters.

Yes and no.

I think I got it with the Knights of the Nine disk.

I don't think it's worth it. I rarely both with it. It's mostly for show if you ride a horse, or want pictures of your character on a horse. It is also the only thing that can kill the best horse in the game.

Yeah, I heard that if you armor Shadowmere, it messes up her "Return to Fort Farragut" script.

I got it as part of the Knights of the Nine disk. I usually have it loaded up in case I decide I want to armor a horse, but I rarely bother to actually go and buy the armor.

So yes I have it, but no I wouldn't say it's worth it. As others have said, it doesn't really do all that much since you have to get off your horse to fight anyway so you're basically paying for a cosmetic addition to the game.
